WILL I CHOOSE YOU AGAIN (CONTD)

Image
I had a WhatsApp chat with Mrs D, and she had this to say, How long have you been married and Do you have children? Almost 3 years, yes 2 beautiful kids. If u had to do it all again would you choose your husband? A BIG yes Why? Well, asides from love, he hasn't changed from the person I met years ago, he has only gotten better and has helped me grow in a lot of ways. He always has my back and of course, I wouldn't have my 2 awesome kids. Mrs E had this to say in our chat How long have you been married? 20years Do you have children? Yes 20years is a long time.what has kept you both together? Sacrifices,  understanding,  patience,  hope and most importantly  God's love and grace. If you had the chance to do it all again, would you choose your husband? For some reasons, I  would and for some, I would not. I  would if  I am to consider how he tries to take care of the children and meet up with his responsibilities towards them. B...

WILL I CHOOSE YOU AGAIN?

I love this beautiful song "Suddenly" by the great R&B singer Billy Ocean. Part of the lyrics that interests me is " if I had to do it all again, I  wouldn't change a thing coz this love is everlasting.......you wake up suddenly you're in love " . .... This part gives me the feeling that if some people had to do it all again, they will do it with the same person.  This got me thinking about marriage. Some people get married, and a few years down the line, you hear statements like I  should never have married him/her, I have heard people say different things.  A lady once said to me that her husband says she is no longer the woman he married..   and I have heard some say like Billy Ocean "I  wouldn't change a thing " like they say different strokes for different folks.  This is a no judgement zone and everyone's experience/s  and opinion is respected. These views, however,  do not represent my views and opinions. I asked some...

INTERVIEW: The Ride to 50 and 5Os

Image
Turning 50 and the 50s ride comes differently for people. some embrace it, some are in denial and have struggles accepting the golden age. It was a mixed grill for me, even though I celebrated with friends and family, a major part of me was really glad, grateful and thankful for life. I also had this feeling of anxiety-like old age seemed to be creeping in and I was anxious about the changes that would come, like wrinkles, greys, I was concerned that I may not be my active self, and I even started using a particular bible verse that God will renew my youth and I will stay ageless like the sun stood still for Joshua in the Bible. I still pray for my youth to be renewed but I will tell you how I overcame my anxieties which thinking about them now makes me laugh.  But before I tell you, these are some replies I got from friends on their turning 50experience.  ANONYMOUS A Question : How did you feel about turning 50?  I don't remember how I felt. How do you ...

There lived a little girl called Mina and her younger brother called Marcus. Mina was always picking on Marcus and teased him because of his slow speech and stuttering.  Meanwhile, Mina had this doll she loved called Selena, she took care of the doll and always combed her long hair, she even made a small bed for her doll and wished her doll will speak to her. Marcus' birthday was coming soon and Mina was thinking of what kind of gift to give to him. she decided to use her savings to buy a ball because Marcus loved to play football, and made her mind not to tease Marcus on his birthday.  When the day came, Mina gave Marcus his gift and gave him a big hug which surprised Marcus but he was happy his sister was being so nice to him because he always felt hurt when she teased and picked on him. BLEACHING! BEAUTY OR A DISASTER

Image
After a transaction at an ATM  booth, I observed a young lady tapping her feet impatiently on the queue to use the atm. I looked at her face and noticed it had different colour patches, her knuckles, hands and legs were not left out as she wore a short gown that showed her skin. I figure each patch told a story of the processes it must have gone through due to chemical concussion. I wondered why ladies bleach, some say it’s because men like fair ladies or being light-skinned is more attractive to the eye.  I honestly don’t get their reasons for bleaching and I am sure if the skin could speak, it would say " dear owner, please let me breathe this is torture". Some ladies mix all sort of chemicals called body cream, but sadly they don’t get the desired results and they end up looking ridiculous with different shades of colours accompanied by an unpleasant smell. For ladies who can afford to buy real lightening creams which are expensive, spend a lot of money to...
